On September 1, 2017, Hotel Geneve received with enthusiasm the visit of Malala Yousafzai who stayed with us, Malala walked through our corridors while infecting guests and staff, with her charming and powerful personality every space of the hotel.

Accompanied by a small and colorful suitcase, with warm tones and fabrics very characteristic of her country and her father and work team, she was ready to offer a talk for young people in conjunction with Telmex.

Her stay in Mexico was short but eagerly awaited by thousands, as she managed to place young students in the facilities of the Tec de Monterrey to pronounce as her first words "I love you". He thanked them for the affection he received in his first visit to the country to spread his fight for education.

With a smile and transmitting courageous phrases such as "I have always believed in love, in living together, and when I see the maps I think why the division?" Malala demonstrated that the meaning of her name "immersed in sorrow" is an understatement.

Finally, on September 2 in the Porfirio room of the Hotel Geneve, Malala said goodbye to the staff and to Mexico, grateful for the warmth of the country and its people. Not before asking the staff for a photo that is currently in General Management, expressing her warmth for each person who provided service and mentioning at 12pm that day that "her stay was so special, because of each of the workers here..."
